Tourism without barriers

50 million citizens with disabilities of various kinds is the estimate of those likely to participate in the tourism market and as much as 72% of them - or about 36 million - are likely to travel, but only 6 million do really.

In essence, 30 million people with 'special needs' are excluded from the official tourist circuits, although involved.
If we consider that every tourist with any disability can travel with friends, family, carers etc., The number of potential consumers tourist arrives at 60/70 million.
Tourism without barriers is a strategic program for the development of Italian tourism in an area still partly unexplored

  • Make available to operators in the tourism system a data base with information on accommodation and other services related to targeted and qualified business opportunities
  • Guarantees to operators of the tourism system contacts program and select a pool of potential new customers, who regularly travel or want to travel
  • Care training and advice necessary to the promotion / creation of hospitality services in Italy for customers with disabilities and needs 'special'
  • Works with organizations to develop tourism economy of those areas that are able to offer holidays tailored to different needs 'special'

Individualized Care Pathways (I.C.P.)

We were among the first in Tuscany to think the reception for tourists with disabilities, the first to create, customize and enhance the I.C.P. (Individualized Care Paths). I.C.P. are paths, cultural-tourist routes designed specifically for people with disabilities, designed to avoid all the barriers, not just architectural but also the cultural and mental barriers. For too many years in the role of Tourist Guides and Escorts encounter enormous difficulties (often represented by simple obstacles) that make us live emotionally and professionally difficult situations when we need to provide a tourist service to our disabled guests. We decided to find ourselves ready to meet and to offer our guests a professional service as E.T.G.H (European Travel Guide Handicapped), the first Travel Guide in Italy formed with specific skills to guide tourists with disabilities.
