“Transfers and More”
Andrea was amazing, we had booked him for our transfers and Accademia on Tuesday morning as we were in Florence for Monday and had a 11 am train on Tuesday morning and I just didn't want to miss Accademia. Andrea made my trip to Florence the most convenient one in-spite of our time paucity. He provided us with lovely Lara for our trip to Pisa who was very informative and more like a friend than a driver or guide.
Accademia with Alessandra was wonderful. my children loved her,she made the musuem so v. interesting for my 2 and 5 year olds. My younger one just did not want to leave her after the visit finished.
Andrea himself was very lively and helpful. He really made everything in Florence so Easy for us.

“Transfers”
I have just spent three weeks traveling around Tuscany and Umbria as a solo traveler. Most of the time I used buses and trains to get from one town to the next, however, it was going to take several changes of buses and trains to get from Montalcino to Pitigliano and so I arranged to use Under the Tuscan Sun to transfer me between these two hilltop towns. What a pleasure to be fetched in a Lancia and driven through the beautiful countryside by a local guide. I would strongly recommend this company.

“Trip of A lifetime parts I and II”
Andrea, Andrea, Andrea!... I need not say more! Anyone who has affiliated themselves with Under The Tuscan Sun Tours knows exactly what I mean.
Twice we have visited the Tuscan Region of Italy and would not consider a return without Andrea and his staff. Thanks to JoEllen at Go Travel in Altamonte Springs, FL, and the affiliation with Creative Destinations of Lake Mary, FL, our visits to Italy will be forever trips of a lifetime.
Getting to know Andrea personally allows me to say such strong statements. I'm sure he has many friends from all over the world because of his attention to detail, care and love for his job and country. Born and raised in the Florence area, he has intimate knowledge of every nook and cranny of the Tuscan region and especially Florence. Trained and schooled in History, he is a wealth of knowledge.
I will say this one time and try to be as clear as possible: DO NOT VISIT THIS AREA WITHOUT USING HIS COMPANY!
My wife and I met this man as a tour guide and ended up with a friend for life. Need I say more, experience it for yourself.

“Highlight of our trip!”
We looked carefully at several of the Chianti region tour offerings based in Florence. We are so glad that we booked with Under the Tuscan Sun. It was the highlight of our week in Italy! Andrea, the company's owner, led us on a simply lovely day through the countryside with most of the time spent in Siena, San Gimignano and at an extensive wine-tasting at Tenuta Torciano which included a simple but very flavorful lunch. We especially appreciated Andrea's ability and willingness to talk about a wide range of subjects Italian--art, architecture, wine, food, customs, politics, family life and religion. He was charming, energetic and accommodating. We would schedule another tour with him without hesitation.

“Tour of Pisa and winetasting - excellent”
After seeing our son married in Tuscany we decided to have a trip with a couple of friends and arranged a tour of the central attractions ie the Tower in Pisa and the Cathedral. We had an informative hour or so with Bernadetta at the attractions and then proceeded to a winery with our English speaking driver. The winery was small and we were given a tour and our driver Dimitri did an excellent translation. At the tasting we were not rushed or pushed to purchase. The whole experience was relaxed and informative. Just what we needed. The whole experience was professional and enjoyable. We would certainly recommend handing the arrangements of your tour over to this company.

“Wonderful Tuscany”
We (2 couples in 50's) took the all day Wonderful Tuscany tour (Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti, Pisa), plus lunch and a wine tasting at a private winery near San Gimignano. It was probably our best day of our 10-day Rome-Florence-Venice vacation. Our driver/guide was Mafalda. She was very pleasant, engaging, well informed, eager for us to enjoy the day, and helpful with a lot of information during the drives and at the sites. The lunch and wine tasting were a lot of fun, though there is a sales pitch at the end - no pressure, just something to be aware of given that your sales resistance might be a little low after the excellent wines. We enjoyed each area, didn't feel rushed, and learned a lot, not just about the locations we visited but about life in Tuscany. If we were visiting back in the area, we would definitely schedule another tour through Under the Tuscan Sun. Ciao!

“Absolutely Wonderful!!”
We booked Andrea for the Chianti Classico Tour and Cooking Class at Badia a Passignano. It was a great experience! We were picked up from our hotel in Siena and started towards the Chianti region. On our way, Andrea offered to stop at Monteriggioni so that we could get out and look around for a bit. My husband had talked about wanting to visit the small fortress town and so it was perfect! Andrea didn’t rush us and let us roam around while he waited outside the gates. Before making it to Badia a Passignano for our class, we stopped at a lovely winery where we were able to have a tasting and tour of their cellars.
Our cooking class was definitely the highlight of the day (if not our whole trip). Andrea was able to get us booked for this wonderful experience and we’ll never forget it! The Executive Chef, along with the rest of the staff, was amazing. After the class, we got a tour of the grounds and cellars before sitting down to a wonderful dinner.
Andrea was a great guide. He spoke perfect English and was an extremely safe driver. He also gave us recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip in Italy. If we would have had the time, we would have booked another tour with him. We’ll definitely book him when we go back to Florence/Siena.

“Awesome Time!”
First visit to Italy and Tuscany region.
Under the Sun tours, put together a great day for us. We were able to see all the sights we wanted with out feeling rushed or hurried. Andrea choose a perfect winery for lunch and tasting.
Andrea was the perfect guide for the trip. Everything was first class. Andrea was very personable, funny, knowledgeable and accommodating. He went out his way to assure our visit was a success

“Just Fabulous!”
This was my first time to Italy so I was looking for the perfect tour to take us through Tuscany for wine tasting. Through much research we decided to go with Under the Tuscan Sun tours and I am so incredibly glad we did. Andrea was the perfect guide. He was prompt, knowledgable, and accommodating to our requests. With his recommendations we were able to experience much more than anticipated. A personalized tour through a high-end leather company, a quick stop for an espresso, an exceptional Tuscan lunch and wine tastings...what an incredible experience! “FUN TASTIQUE”
Andrea was our tour guide and driver for Florence & Pisa. A very nice person, an awesome job of explaining the country, history and sites. We are a group of 5 friends from same office.
He was very accomodating with our schedules and needs. We did the Florence , PISA tour and visited the WINE TASTING experience.
We really enjoyed it since Andrea had so much knowledge as a Guide as well as our Driver.
So that may be a more valuable experience if you make a whole day of it.
Definitely will contact Andrea again for our next visit, and I would recommed Andrea as an awesome tour guide for you visit to Florence and surrounding areas!

“Wonderful tours”
We had our two young children with us on this trip to Florence, Italy. The tours (we took two separate day trips) really made the countryside and culture accessible. Andrea was extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The first full-day tour at the beginning of our trip was to Siena, Monteriggioni, a winery, etc. Everything was lovely, comfortable, and fun. The 2nd 3/4 day tour at the end of our trip was to Pisa and Lucca. Beautiful! We had a great time and I do think the tours helped make the trip a success for our kids as well. They wanted to stay another week! I think they will always remember their Pinnochio :)

“Please, no second thoughts!”
To anyone who is still trying to decide on whether to book this tour, stop.. remove all your doubts! This Tuscan tour we took was one great memorable and very enriching experience. Our tour guide Andrea is such a warm and pleasant person and very knowledgeable . We enjoyed all his stories not only about art and history of the places we went to but also learned a lot about typical family life in Italy and we had an interesting exchange of stories about other places as well. Andrea was also very accommodating and he agreed to customize our tour according to our request. Definitely, no regrets on taking this tour, only pleasant and priceless memories to take back home.

"Could not have been better"
I contracted to have a private driver and tour guide to visit Tuscany. We went to Sienna , lunch and wine tasting at a wine farm and a visit of San Gimignano. It was a spectatcular day only made better by our guide Andrea Celletti. Extremely knowledgable and friendly he made the day even better. He made us welcome, took his time and sincerely provide us with uncomparable customer service. I would recommend Under the Tuscan Sun and especially Signor Celletti to eveyone.

“Great Tour Guide”
Andrea was our tour guide/driver for Florence & Pisa. He did an awesome job of explaining the country, history and sites. We are a family of 4 with two children ages 13 & 10. He really interacted well with our children. He was very accomodating with our schedules and needs. We did the Florence walking tour and visited the "DAVID" which my husband really enjoyed since Andrea had so much knowledge and spent time explaining very interesting things relating to the "David". The next day we took the drive to Pisa. This may be something you can do without a tour guide but it is nice to have a driver to take you on a tour of Tuscany on the way back??? So that may be a more valuable experience if you make a whole day of it. We did stop at an organic winery and that was a nice short stop but I would say he would be better utilized if you have him take you on a longer tour around Florence area. But since we had kids they were not interested in an ALL day trip. Andrea was great at suggesting nice restaurants for as well. I think having a tour guide is a treat since you get that personal service that is tailored to your needs as a family or group.I would recommed Andrea as an awesome tour guide for you visit to Florence and surrounding areas!

“Very good experience”
We are a family of three (2 adults and 1 toddler). We insisted on having Andrea as our driver/guide after reading very good reviews. We had two tours booked with him (Tuscany and 5 terra). Our experience with booking tours was smooth and he was prompt to replying emails. Andrea was our driver when we visited Sienna, Sangimiano and winery at Chianti. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. We had a very good time even though we traveled with a child. He was flexible and accommodative.
The only hiccup we had was that we were sent another driver for our 5 Terra tour but we were not informed earlier (we were later informed he fell sick). However the driver Andrea sent (Marizo Maionchi) was very friendly and knowledgeable too so no complaints here. On the whole we had a very positive experience.

“Andrea educates four Texans!!”
Four travelers from Texas were treated to two days of wonderful and informative tours in Tuscany courtesy of Andrea C. Our first day with Andrea was spent in Florence and the sights of this incredible city were made even more memorable by the insight provided by Andrea. Andrea's knowledge of the history of the magnificent art and architecture of Florence was remarkable.
Our next day with Andrea was spent traveling through the Tuscan countryside in and around Siena and the Chianti Valley. This trip included a splendid stop at the Azienda Agricola Casamonti for a classic Tuscan lunch complete with the vinyard's own fine wines. Magnifico!
Our next trip to Tuscany will include time with our wonderful guide Andrea.

He provided us with a map of San Gimignano upon arriving there and had umbrellas to spare should we have needed them or forgotten. “An Unbelievable Day”
Sometimes in life we get too busy to stop and say thanks. That has been my situation for almost 8 months, but I swore I would get on line and thank Andrea for a phenominal day touring the countryside. I was in Rome for a conference and a friend recommended Under the Tuscan Sun and Andrea in particular for a quick Florence getaway. With literally one day notice he grabbed me off of the first train from Rome to explore wonderful walled cities (ie San Gimignano), enjoyed the quaint experience of a 'country style' lunch at a Tuscan farmhouse combined with the tastings of the finest chianti , explored the Pitti Palace museum and then had a dinner to die for in the heart of Venice. An unbelievable day that ended with him racing to place me back on the last train to Rome, but started with a simple phone call. “Trip to Italy, We had a wonderful trip and our day with Andrea at Under the Tuscan Sun was a highlight of the trip”
On our 12 day cruise to 8 European cities we had only one day in Port Livorno, gateway to PISA and FLORENCE. There were 6 of us so we booked a private tour with Andrea. Because of his knowledge of the area we were able to see both cities with plenty of time to spare in just one day. He was so informative that he captured our attention for the entire tour. It was like having a private driver and historian in the car at the same time. He was willing to modify the tour to our specific interests. He gave out oustanding service and a great price. Because we were 6 it was even less expensive per person than if we had taken a cruise ship sponsored tour. Leading up to the trip he communicated regularly and I had no doubt he would be there to meet us when we got off the ship. We are going back next year and will contact our new friend in Italy for another tour.

“The best day of our trip to Italy!”
We booked a day-long tour of Tuscany with Andrea and it was by far the best day of our trip to Italy. His e-mails ahead of time were prompt, helpful and kind. He picked us up right at our hotel in Florence in a van that was extremely clean and comfortable. Andrea spent the beginning of the trip giving us a lot of good background about what we were going to see. We really got a chance to know him and felt like he got to know us. It was almost like being with an old friend. We visited three cities: Montapulciano, Pienza and Montalcino. We especially enjoyed Pienza and ate lunch at one of the best restaurants in Tuscany. Magnifico! Our tour of the winery at Poggio Antico was fantastic and we tasted some of their wonderful rosso and Brunello wines. Andrea was flexible, personable and accommodating the entire time. His recommendations were spot-on and he went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience. Thank you, Andrea, for all that you did to give us such a wonderful day! “Ciao from the Donkeys”
Andrea responded to my inquiries quickly as I expected since we only look for stuff to do just a couple of week before departure. We booked Andrea's tour to Cinque Terre and make a stop in Pisa. Andrea picked up us on time with his Car dell'Amore and drove us to Cinque Terre. The whole journey was just fun. Andrea is full of knowledge and information and we kept firing questions at him, especially the smart donkey. We just want to know everything about what we see and Andrea fortunately had all the answer! The whole trip became more interesting as we learn different things about Italy like food, places to go, cultures and other stuff. Furthermore, Cinque Terre was really pretty and we all feel like we needed more time to spend here. But we did have the most delicious meal in Riomaggiore and saw the Via dell'Amore, too bad we didnt get to Manarola. A day isn't enough. If anyone plan to visit Firenze in the future, I would definitely recommend him.

“Accommodating Andrea - Highly Recommended :-)”
Right from the beginning of organising our trip to Pisa, Andrea was so helpful - allowing us to book an afternoon trip and willing to pick us up from our hotel outside of Florence. Even a last minute change to the pick-up location was no problem.
The beautiful drive from Florence to Pisa was filled with non-stop chatter from the extremely knowledgeable Andrea, who happily answered questions about everything ranging from local knowledge about Florence to Andrea Bocelli to the mafia.
Upon our arrival in Pisa, we were met by our English speaking tour guide, Bernadette - who I also highly recommend. She was wonderful! She took us around the cathedral (the Duomo) and her knowledge was exceptional. She highlighted small things inside the cathedral that we never would have noticed and was so patient with all our questions.
From Pisa we drove to a local vineyard (the "Fattoria di San Michele a Torri") where Andrea had organised for us to do some wine tasting. We learnt about the wine and olive oil making process and sampled wines, olive oil, cheese, prosciutto and honey. Watching the sunset over the Tuscan countryside was the perfect way to end our wonderful day and our trip to Florence.
Andrea - thank you so much for making our trip to the Pisa an amazing and memorable trip!

“You need to do this if you are staying in Florence”
First of all, Andrea, your tour guide, is great. He is from Florence and is extremely knowledgeable about the city as well as the surrounding destinations. In addition, he is very accommodating. For example, we told him on the drive to the first winery that we were planning to take the train to Siena the following day. He explained to us why the train was a bad idea because it took too long, proposed that he would takes us there at that moment if we wanted to go, and then changed our itinerary on the spot at our request. He recommended the 'must sees' in Siena and afterward we were on our way to Tenuta Torciano where we met the unforgettable winemaker Pierluigi who referred to my wife as principessa (she was flattered). Andrea set up a private lunch and tasting with Pierluigi; the wine was great and the lasagna was the best we've ever eaten. Andrea then took us to San Gimignano where we spent a couple of hours, and then back to our hotel. My wife and I spent 5 days in Florence and this day was by far our favorite. Tuscany is undoubtedly beautiful, but Andrea's familiarity with the region, flexibility, and charming personality made the trip memorable. We will definitely call him again the next time we are in Florence.

We recommended this agency to some friends from Florida after hearing about it from a friend in Florence. Andrea was able to organize a tour in the Chianti area with literally a few hours notice. Our friends were extremely happy with it.
We will definitely use Under The Tuscan Sun again in the future.

I contacted Andrea before leaving for our Italian journey about possible transportation between Florence and Impruneta for Impruneta's famous annual Grape Festival on Sunday, September 26th. I researched several options and was looking for a cost-effective, reliable solution -- particularly since bus service to/from Impruneta was very limited and the schedule may not have lined up well with the hours of the festival and our arrival in Florence that day.
Andrea was quick to respond to each and every one of my contacts by email. Intuitively knowing that cost was a factor, Andrea offered us a great deal, but we decided to keep our options open.
When we arrived in Florence, tired from our travel from Sorrento, we decided we'd like to try Andrea's transfer. He had offered us a price that was comparative, if not slightly less than, taxi service (Sunday's lower traffic volumes probably helped). With less than an hour's notice, Andrea was able to pick us up at our central Florence hotel and deliver us to Impruneta in time for the festival's grand parade! Additionally, Andrea provided an almost guided tour of the sights we saw along our journey (he has a Ph.D in art history!). It was a most pleasant experience, one of our favorite encounters on our trip to Europe. Andrea even let us borrow his umbrella in case it rained during our time in Impruneta, which was fortunate, as it did rain for our last 30 minutes.
We thought Andrea was warm and welcoming (and tall and handsome to boot!) and he provided us with helpful sight-seeing information for the rest of our time in Florence, ensuring we made the most of our time there.
It was almost a shame we had such a short time with Andrea. For our next visit to Florence, I would not hesitate to contact him again for more involved service (his tours sound especially wonderful).

We used Under The Tuscan Sun Tours (Andrea) for our tours while on Summit May 11 sailing. We coordinated not only our Florence/Pisa tour but also the Rome and Naples days as well with him. I was in Europe for over a month and a half. Every tour I went on, I compared it to under the Tuscan sun. Under the Tuscan sun was by far the best experience. Our guide showed us everything! We saw beautiful views of the city, the statue of David, Pisa, and had the most amazing time wine tasting in Tuscany! Our guide was friendly, intellectual, funny, and made our experience in Florence unforgettable. I would do it all over again!

We took a wine tasting tour with Under the Tuscan Sun to Chianti on May 19, 2010. Andrea picked us up in the morning. Andrea is very nice and has sense of humor. I can feel his great enthusiasm for arts, culture, and travelling in Florence. He drove us to Michelangelo’s Plaza, where we could see the beautiful scenery in Florence. We also explored the town, village, castle and Greve in Chianti. Chianti is one of Italy's prime wine regions, located between the "art cities" of Florence to the north and Sienna to the south.�
After that, we headed to Sant’ Appiano winery for wine tasting – it was absolutely fantastic! We tried a lot of good wine and bought some red wine for souvenir. The Chianti wine tour was one of the most memorable experiences in my Italy trip!! There’re a lot of thing to do/explore in Florence. I love this place so much - I will definitely come back!! Thanks Andrea for taking us to such wonderful places. I just fall in love with Florence after this trip.....

When Andrea picked ux up from our Hotel In Tuscany, he was very friendly and my husband and I felt very comfortable. He drove us to a private wine tour that was amazing. He was very knowledgable of his country and we learned a lot of wondful things. After our wine tour he took us to Florence which was wonderful Andrea made our tirp to Italy that much more enjoyable. Andrea met myself and another couple at Firenze bus station. We were expecting a bus, but were greeted by a luxury Mercedes car, as we were the only patrons for that day. Andrea took us on a tour of the beautiful Cinque Terre, stopping at many point of interest, and at the same time providing us with many details of the history of the region, as well as answering many of out questions. We were able to walk thru and around these beautiful coastal towns. Andrea recommeded a seafood restaurant to us, and I cannot rate the lunch we enjoyed highly enough, it was magnificent! As an added bonus, on the drive back to Firenze, Andrea diverted us to the lovely town of Lucca, where we had an enjoyable time wandering its streets and alleys.
Overall, Andrea is the very best guide for the Tuscany region, and I would recommend his tours to anyone. He is a friend guide. Will see him again next time I'm in beautiful Firenze

When Andrea picked ux up from our Hotel In Tuscany, he was very friendly and my husband and I felt very comfortable. He drove us to a private wine tour that was amazing. He was very knowledgable of his country and we learned a lot of wonderful things. "Amazing time, amazing driver, Day of a lifetime!"
Andrea picked us up early in Florence and we spent the whole day with him as he showed us his country, his culture, wineries and much much more you do not get on a "commercial group tour." Truly made our day one of a kind. Went at OUR own pace, no one elses. Rode in a luxury Mercedes Van that was perfect for site seeing and for comfort while Andrea kept us informed and entertained. Highly recommend and going back to see him next week!

My family and I booked a tour with Under the Tuscan Sun tours in July 2010. Andrea picked us up promptly from the cruise ship with a nice smile and a charming personality. Andrea has a large passion for his county and delighted us with so much interesting information. He took us to the best viewing sites for Florence. When we finished up early in Florence since we did not feel like viewing more churches, ruins ..etc after doing so much on the cruise prior, Andrea suggested a Wine tasting. What a lovely idea. It was just bueatiful driving out in the country, stopping to take pictures by the Sun flower fields. The wine tasting was great! Everyone was so nice and the wine was just devine. Andrea was so pleasant and he made sure to make our 15 year old daughter always feel included. I would recommend Andrea and Under the Tuscan Sun tours to anyone wanting to visit this part of Italy. "Wonderful tour filled with laughs, beautiful scenery and lots of vino!"
My husband and I recently took a tour of Chianti with Andrea and loved it! It was a relaxing afternoon in the beautiful hills of Tuscany with the very friendly and knowledgeable guide and other ladies from the U.S. Andrea had lots of information to share about the region, wine making, olive oil, Italian culture and history and more. We enjoyed tasting several different kinds of wine at the Sant'Appiano winery in addition to tasting yummy prosciutto, salami and olive oil as well. It was wonderful to see the barrels in which the wine ferments and learn about the process. As a picky New Yorker, I highly recommend this tour (and company in general) for their professionalism and wonderful hospitality! We will remember this afternoon for many years to come!

Andrea - Sorry it has taken so long to send you a HUGE thank you for arranging private tours for our group in Florence and Chianti, Our BEST memories will always be our time with you, Andrea, in Florence and Tuscany. You arranged a trip for some of our friends which included Pisa and Florence, and put together a special itinerary for me and my wine loving friends who wanted to spend time in Tuscany as well as see Florence. The day was perfect! We saw all the highlights of Florence, but most memorable was our stop at your friends castle in Tuscany and our visit to the beautiful winery in the Chianti region on the way home. Our tour of the estate and wine and olive oil tasting was wonderful! Again, THANK YOU, Andrea for all your help in making our time in the Mediterranean so memorable. You and our other guides were able to get into areas that tour buses could not possibly have gone and saved us time. We also spent much less on your tours compared to those in our group who chose to stick to the Royal Caribbean tours. There really was no comparison. I used unforgettable tuscany Unforgettable Tuscany :: private tours in florence, livorno, roma, vatican city, naples :: limo service and shore excursions I cannot recommend them enough, they were absolutely wonderful. I had really wanted to go a wine tour but with going to pisa and florence there wasnt enough time. Andrea arranged for us to go to a private vineyard in tuscany. We got to pick the grapes right off the vine and eat them...it was a wonderful experience.

I can highly reccomend Andrea and Under The Tuscan Sun Tours. My family and I spent a wonderful day with Andrea in Tuscany, Florence and Pisa. Andrea knew how to navigate both the county roads and the streets of the cites. Andrea was able to deliver us right to our destination and shared her personal knowledge of the area. My family consited of myself, my wife, my daughter and my Mother in Law. Each one of us found Andrea and very easy to talk with, making our day trip both personal and memorable. We were traveling via a cruise ship and after speaking with other passengers, we now know the value and personal experience Under The Tuscan Sun Tours provided was far more superior than the bus trips offered on the ship. I would be remiss not to mention how comfortable Andrea's air conditioned van was. If I ever make my way back to Pisa, I will be booking my transportation with Under The Tuscan Sun Tours.

We used Andrea of Unforgettable Tuscany on July 8, 2008. Fabulous day. Highly recommend. Here's part of my trip review pertaining to Livorno. Hands down my favorite. We had the best tour guide ever...we arranged with Andrea of Under The Tuscan Sun Tours(http://www.underthetuscansun.it). He met us at the pier at 8 am and we were off. We headed towards Florence but detoured through the Tuscan countryside. He is from the area and was very knowledgable and charming. He had a cooler full of pop and water for us as well. Cost was 450 euros and our tour was over 9 hours! He stopped so we could pictures of the scenic tuscan vineyards and olive groves. He took us to Castello di Montegufoni ( a middle age Castle that is now rents out rooms by the week or month). He knows the owner so we were able to wander around the property, explore and take pictures. This place was so scenic and just what I envisioned Tuscany to be like. We then headed to Florence and we stopped atop a large hill for a gorgeous view of Florence, he pointed out all the sights, the bridges, and he told us quite a bit of history. He arranged for us to see the David at noon. There was a tremendously long line, but we got in the group line while he went in and picked up the tickets and we were inside within 10 minutes. We had 45 minutes inside the Academia museum which was ample. The David was so cool! After this we headed to lunch, and we invited Andrea to join us. He was just a delightful man and we told him to pick a place where he would eat. We went to a great trattoria La Beppa. They gave us english menus, but Paolo said no..'the menu of the day'... we suggested he order for us and wow...what a gastronomical treat. We had fresh fettucini with mushrooms (not in heavy sauce but a delicious olive oil and lemon sauce), a brushetta sampler, house wine which was so good, delicious bread, caprese salad, veal ravioli, and penne. He ordered 3 appetizers and 3 pasta dishes and it was a huge amount of food. A very relaxing hour. He offered to pay his share but we said no as we were really enjoying our day. After lunch we had one hour to explore the market. It was fun, but after a while, it's the same old leather shops and silk scarf shops. We then met up for a tour of Santa Croce and then did some wine tasting at a local wine shop and had delicious gelato. We were back on the ship by 5:30...what a wonderful day. We highly recommend Andrea!

I just returned from the 12 night Mediterranean Summit cruise on 5/24. We booked three different tours via Under The Tuscan Sun Tours and were 110% satisfied with each of them. For the Florence/Pisa tour we had the pleasure of Andrea as our driver. He was absolutely wonderful as were all of his colleagues in the other ports (Rome and Naples). I can't say enough about the service they provided. They were all english speaking and very knowledgable drivers. The vans were in excellent condition and the tours covered so much more than we could have ever hoped to see in our short time in port. Andrea, My husband and I just wanted to thank you for the fabulous tour you provided while we ported in Livorno from the Norweigan Jewel (we also had another couple, Casey and Audriana and two girlfriends, Maral and Natalie, in our group). Every area we drove through and stopped at was amazing. We loved that we felt that we could explore what we wanted to in each city, see the sights, and then find you confidently awaiting our return. You were very knowledgeable about the sites and we were able to take back what we learned to tell our friends and family exactly what we saw.We also liked how you were able to get around the long line at The David so we didn't have to wait! And then, to top it off, you recommended a terrific restaurant to eat at and we were so happy that you took our invitation to eat with us. I did use Under The Tuscan Sun Tours for my tour of Pisa and Florence. Paulo, the owner, was very good to correspond with prior to the tour and also got our reservations to the museums ahead of time. Many of my friends have used him for various other tours and loved his service, so I don't think you can go wrong.

If problems should come up I can highly recommend Andrea in Livorno. We had him drive us to Pisa, then a nice country castle, and on to Florence. Then he took us to a great Italian family restaurant La Beppa for an unforgettably fun time and great food. His English is almost better than mine and he knows the area.
